I’ve been faithful to little but God rewarded me much.
Shella Mae, together with her older sister, were surrendered by their father at LTCF. Having a sickly mother with 8 children to feed is a struggle that the parents could not anymore bear. Their parents are hopeless that they can still send their children to school because of their difficult situation. Therefore, both parents were confronted with the decision to give the custody of their two daughters at Love the Children Foundation (LTCF).
At first, Shella thought that her stay in LTCF was not going to be easy because she had to adjust to the new environment and her way of life is going to be different. However, she was able to adapt easily to the other children in the center. There were times when she was misunderstood by other children because of her ability to lead, but in the long run, they accepted her and found her leadership skills to be very useful.
Shella’s best asset is her talent in singing and her ability to play different musical instruments. Her angelic voice made her a member of the music team. She sometimes leads the praise and worship service; and performs solo vocals on a concert crusade.
2011 was a significant year for Shella. A great opportunity came when she was chosen to travel to Singapore together with the founder of LTCF to display their hand-made jewelry at a prestigious hotel. Her experience in Singapore amazed her. She was not only representing Love the Children Foundation but she was given the chance to showcase her singing talent. It was not only a big break for Shella but it also marked the beginning of her dreams finally coming true.
Shella Mae is now a college student, taking up Bachelor of Arts in Education. Her passion for teaching is what motivates her that someday, she will able to impart her knowledge and give inspiration to the future generation.
Let us not become weary in doing good for at the proper time we will harvest if we do not give up. Galatians 6:9
